Today is the official start of SPRING! BREAK! 2007! To kick it off, here are a few breakfast recipes that you may or may not be familiar with:
Whiskey Omelet
Best thing ‘bout waking up!
Ingredients:
1 quart whiskey
3 eggs
Preparation:
Drink whiskey. Enjoy (the eggs are just for throwing at stuff when you’re drunk). Serves: 1
French Loaf
When a slice just won’t do!
Ingredients:
6 loaves of bread (unsliced)
38 eggs
1 gallon milk
1 pound nutmeg
1 bottle vanilla extract
Preparation:
Mix eggs, milk, nutmeg and vanilla in bowl. Soak each loaf 45 minutes. Place loaf carefully on griddle, heating until crisp and golden brown or 6 hours. Enjoy. Serves: 55 or 1 ravenous steamboat crew.
Waf-faux-les
Almost waffles!
Ingredients:
1 bowl pancake batter
1 waffle iron
Preparation:
Pour pancake batter into waffle iron, cooking until crisp and golden brown. Serve as waffles. Enjoy. Serves: 4
Nearly Crepes
Just like la mom used to make!
Ingredients:
1 bowl pancake batter
Preparation:
Make pancakes. Using rolling pin, roll each pancake until paper-thin. Slice pancakes in quarters. Enjoy. Serves: number of pancakes times 4
McDonald’s McGriddle® sandwich
I’m Lovin’ it!
Ingredients:
1 bucket
Preparation:
Go to McDonald’s. Order a McGriddle® sandwich (sausage or bacon). Eat sandwich. Vomit into bucket. Enjoy. Serves: 1
